The objective of pharmacovigilance is the reduction of the frequency and the severity of adverse effects of drugs while maintaining or, better, improving their efficacy. The adverse effect of a drug should not be considered without taking account of its beneficial effects.
This examined training in Pharmacovigilance addresses the increasing need of well informed professionals to work in all areas related to the assessment of drug safety and risk benefit of drug use. This training is designed for those that have none or very little experience in Pharmacovigilance. Each module provides the basic building blocks at the beginning of the module, and gradually builds on the knowledge gained each day. Following completion of this course you will be able to work effectively as a member of the Drug Safety Teams within organizations.
